Welcome back students and teachers for another exciting term at St Fiacre's. Term two
is shaping up to be an exciting one with the school promising to be a hive of activity.

NAPLAN 2011 – Congratulations students and teachers another fantastic result
Year 3
- Year 3 improved by 54 scale scores from the 2010 data in the aspect of Numeracy
- All students in Year 3 are 78 scale scores above the state average in the test aspect of Grammar and Punctuation
- Year 3 students performed significantly higher than the state in the top two bands in all areas
- Students were more than 25 points above the state mean in Spelling, more than 45 above state mean in Writing, more than 49 above in Numeracy and more than 77 above in Grammar and Punctuation
Year 5
- Year 5 students performed significantly higher than the state in the top two bands in
- Reading, Writing, Grammar and Punctuation and Numeracy.
- There were over 20% more students in the top two bands in both reading and grammar and Punctuation than in the state.
- All students were 25 points above the state mean in reading and more than 31 above state mean in Grammar and Punctuation.
Growth – Year 5 Only
- 63.6% of students were greater than or equal to expected growth
- 27.27% of students were in the 75th percentile
- Year 5 boys are 9 scale scores above the state average growth in Grammar and Punctuation
These results are a direct consequence of the outstanding teaching and learning in the classroom and the support programs that are part of our commitment to delivering quality education.
